Founded at the suggestion of Professor Chen-Ning Yang and Professor Chao Chung Ting, Tsinghua Education Foundation (N.A.) Inc registered in Delaware as a non-profit organization in 1997, and was granted tax-exempt status in 1998. The first office opened for operation in Los Angeles, and moved to Northern California. The current office is in Milpitas, CA.
